Effective 15 September 2026
TERMS OF USE
AUTHORISED USE
Use Thread only for an organisation and projects you are authorised to access. Keep account credentials private and promptly report suspected unauthorised access.
PROJECT CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Customers and users retain their rights in submitted drawings, design objects, specifications, evidence and comments. They grant the service the rights needed to host, process, compare, export and preserve that content for authorised project use. Users must have permission to submit and share it.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Architects, engineers and other professionals remain responsible for their own scope, judgement, calculations, design decisions and regulatory duties. Credential verification confirms recorded identity or status checks only; it is not a guarantee of competence, design safety, fitness for purpose or compliance. Thread is not a substitute for validated analysis software or required professional review.
COORDINATION CANDIDATES
Geometry and dependency checks may flag potential overlaps or impacts. They are prompts for professional review, not automated findings that a design is unsafe, non-compliant or buildable.
AUTHORISATIONS AND CLIENT DECISIONS
An approval records the named account, role, decision, exact revision hash, time, basis and limitations. Professional decisions require the configured credential scope; client acceptance is a separate commercial/project decision and does not replace professional approval.
ISSUED RECORDS AND SUPERSESSION
After every required gate passes, the exact revision and decisions are locked. Later corrections or changes create an attributable superseding revision and may reopen affected downstream approvals. Users must not treat a draft, superseded or blocked revision as issued for construction.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND ACCEPTABLE USE
Use project information only for authorised purposes. Do not bypass access controls, misrepresent credentials or authority, upload unlawful or malicious content, alter exported evidence misleadingly, or use Thread to conceal a safety issue or substitute an unqualified decision for a regulated one.
AVAILABILITY AND EXPORTS
Customers should keep appropriate handover exports and business-continuity procedures. Service availability, support, retention and liability commitments are governed by the customer agreement.
SUSPENSION
Access may be suspended to protect projects, users or the service, or where use is unlawful or materially breaches the customer agreement.
